How DiMovie collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
Last updated August 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DiMovie (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our synchronized watch-party service, websites, and related applications (collectively, the “Service”). It is informed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and common transparency practices used by consumer entertainment platforms.
DiMovie operates an online platform that lets people create and join watch parties, synchronize video playback, chat in real time, and use optional voice features.
For questions about this Policy or your personal data, contact us at privacy@dimovie.pro. General support: support@dimovie.pro.
Effective date: August 5, 2026.
This Policy applies to personal data we process when you:
When you register or update a profile, we may process:
To run rooms and keep playback in sync, we process:
If you provide a video URL, upload a file, or resolve catalog metadata, we process the references and technical metadata needed to play or proxy that media. We do not claim ownership of third-party titles you choose to watch. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access that content.
Identity providers may share limited account details when you sign in with them. Payment processors (if/when billing is active) process payment data under their own policies; we typically receive confirmation of payment status rather than full card numbers.
We use personal data for the following purposes:
Where GDPR / UK GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of these bases:
We may process data in countries other than where you live. When we transfer personal data from the EEA/UK to a country without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms, together with technical and organizational measures.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including:
You may request account deletion via privacy@dimovie.pro or in-product controls when available. Some residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited time, and we may retain information needed to resolve disputes or comply with law.
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, hashed passwords, and least-privilege practices for production systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
Email privacy@dimovie.pro with enough detail to verify your request. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA (including the right to know, delete, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing” as those terms are defined — we do not sell personal information).
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact privacy@dimovie.pro and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We do not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (for example an in-product notice or email) where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes means you acknowledge the updated Policy.
